SpaceFibre is a substantial leap forward, offering much higher data rates, quality of service, fault detection, isolation and recovery, deterministic data delivery, low latency time-synchronization, and event signaling. SpaceFibre is backward compatible with existing SpaceWire equipment at the packet level allowing simple interconnection of SpaceWire devices into a SpaceFibre network.
